   Today I will talk about an app and website that helps teachers and teacher candidates to prepare class activities.

Here you can see your classes that you have created. You can create or join a classroom from the blue dot.

This page will pop up when you click the blue dot, then you can create your own classroom.

I have created a classroom for me and my future students. You will see this page after you've created your own classroom.

You can create an activity from the button "Çalışma Seti Ekle". I have created one about clothes. You can find your activities when you click your classroom.

 This will be all for this activity. Your students can do the activities you have created from their smartphones as well. Hope this post will help teachers and teacher candidates. See you later.

Virtual Reality

 

Hi everyone! On today's post I will talk about VR aka Virtual Reality. 

Virtual Reality helps people to experience another simulated worlds through little screens. You can use it by downloading an app that is for VR glasses and enjoy the simulated world. You can perform surgery on a client, float on space on your own etc. by VR app's help.

I think VR apps can be beneficial for students that want to improve their English by playing games with English subtitles. Since we started to use technology in our daily lives most of the time, I think we should keep up with it.

Flipgrid

 Hello everyone! Today I will talk about a beneficial website for teachers and teacher candidates. This website called Flipgrid.

Flipgrid is a website that helps teachers to create their own classrooms and activities for their students. Teachers can use this website to ask their students daily questions or give weekly tasks. These tasks may be "Tell us about yourself.", "Talk about your hobbies.", "Introduce your family and other family members. Students in the classrooms can answer and do these tasks by recording a video of their selves or recording a voice message.

VoiceThread

 

 Hello guys! Today I will talk about a website and application. It's name is VoiceThread and it helps teachers to create their presentation with a video of themselves. Also they can write anything they want on the video while presenting it.

Also this website and application helps students to make presentations for their teachers. Later they upload their video, teachers can comment on their video. If you want to upload your VoiceThread video privately, there is a setting that allows you to share it with the ones who have the link of your video.

BlackBoard

 

Hello everyone, today I will talk about an Learning Management System for you guys. It's name is Blackboard. These Learning Management Systems are basically the websites we use to check our grades and the other things about our lessons and school. Since the quarantine started, LMS started to take more place than usual. As you guys know I'm studying at Istanbul Medipol University, and my school's LMS is Mebis. In this LMS teachers can upload the lesson's documents, homeworks and exam's final grades.These LMS websites are very beneficial for teachers and students.

Padlet

   Hello everyone,

Today's beneficial application I chose is Padlet. 

After you signed up to the website, you can find what you are looking for thanks to it's simple design.
I have signed up before because one of my teachers were also using padlet to share notes with my class.

You can see the Padlets you have used from the blue dot.

If you want to find a Padlet later, you can join the Padlet from the link you have recieved, then you can "Like" it. You can easily find the Padlets you have liked from the blue dot.

Here is an example from my teacher. She sent us our final assignment via Padlet easily last year.

 You can create your own Padlets from the button I have circled.

Voki

  Hello again! Today I am going to talk about a website that helps you with creating speaking avatars easily. After you signed up to the website, you will see different avatars both man and woman. After you chose your avatar, you can dress them however you want. Finally, when everything is done, you can write the text that you want your avatar to say. I think this website can be beneficial for teachers and teacher candidates like me in the classroom. Teachers can write a text for their avatar for each class and make the avatar talk with their students.

 I have created an avatar for myself and made my avatar to talk as if I have students in the classroom and playing the video for them. Hope you like it. Here is my VokiAvatar.

Soundcloud-Podcast

  

 Today's application and website is Soundcloud. Soundcloud is a website that helps users to listen and create their own sound files. My main reason to talk about Soundcloud is that I have created my own Podcast by using this application. I have talked about a TedTalk and my thougths about it.

Today's application and website helps us teachers and teacher candidates to create animation videos for our students easily. It is very easy to use it and they have multiple of themes for your videos.

Augmented Reality

 

Hi everyone Today I will talk about  AR aka Augmented Reality. We are all use instagram in our daily lives. The filters that Instagram has are examples of Augmented Reality.

You can fin any kind of filter on Instagram. You can put makeup on your face, add flowers to you head, have fun quizzes and so on. 

I think teachers can find a lot of amazing and fun to try filters for their students from Instagram. Also if they know how to use Photoshop programs, they can even create filters for their students.

Pinterest

Hi! Today's app is kind of a photo app. Pinterest is one of the most used apps in the world. People use this app to share the photos of anything they want about any topic or thing. 

You can use pinterest both on your phone and computer. Here is a screenshot of how it look from computer. You can see the pictures larger when you log in with your computer.

 On pinterest, you can create boards like photo albums for your pins. Pins are the things you want to see later, if you like a picture, you either download it on your phone or you create a board on Pinterest, then pin the photo on this board. Here you can see some of my boards on Pinterst. If anyone wants to use Pinterest to improve their English, you can search for anything on Pinterest. You can find a lot of pictures that includes English grammar and I think you can find any other language's grammar informations, too. Second Life

  Hello everyone! Today I want to show you guys an online video game. This online video game is Second life. In this video game you can have a lot of online friends from other countries. First, you will sign up to the game then in the first place your character was born, you will choose the appearence of your character. Tehn there are simple tasks for you to do like jumping over the bridges, walking towards to signs etc. After doing these steps you can even meet your friends! I think Second Life is a creative game to play and have new friends. I think you should try it if you want to improve your writing and speaking skills!

Edmodo

  Hi, today I want to talk about an app that can help you with your class. You can also use Edmodo on your computer. I used this app while I am taking these screenshots for you guys. It is an app to create many activities for your students to do in classroom! I will try to explain the site to you now.

1. Here is a simple screenshot for you to make it easier to use. First u need to sign up to Edmodo to create a classroom for yourself and your students. After that, you will see the class you have created on the blue dot. If you want to create an exercise, you can click the red dot, the "Discover" button, you will see a lot of examples of activities.

2. After you chose an activity to create, you will see this page in front of you. As you can see, you can change the question type, the activity's type(Game). After you chose these options for your activity, you will click the button finish.

  3. After you created your activitiy and finished it, you can see it in the "My Activities" part of the page.

 Hi everyone, today I want to share an app with you. You can create and write stories for your students by using this app. It's called "StoryBird".

Here is a picture of the website. You can sign up as a teacher and can create a lot of stories. The reason why it is so easy to create a story on this website is, there are a lot of story books created by artists. If you want to use the story book, you can choose the pictures from the book and write a whole new story from it. You do not need to draw anything new.
